Wylde Ratttz

Wylde Ratttz is a supergroup that emerged in the late 1990s, consisting of members from prominent bands such as Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, and The Stooges. Formed for the soundtrack of the 1998 film Velvet Goldmine, they contributed their version of The Stooges’ classic "T.V. Eye," capturing the raw, gritty essence of proto-punk.

Though Wylde Ratttz never became a full-time project, their collaboration reflected a shared admiration for punk and garage rock’s primal energy. Their contribution to Velvet Goldmine helped evoke the spirit of glam rock and punk, adding authenticity to the film’s depiction of that era.
