Wang Chung

Wang Chung is a British new wave band formed in London in 1980. Known for their catchy hooks and electronic-inspired pop sound, the band achieved success in the mid-1980s with hits like "Dance Hall Days" and "Everybody Have Fun Tonight." The group, originally named Huang Chung, changed their name to Wang Chung to reflect their diverse musical influences and to simplify their image for a broader audience.

The band’s fusion of guitar riffs, synthesizers, and strong melodic lines defined their sound and set them apart from other bands of the new wave movement. Although their popularity waned after the 1980s, Wang Chung’s music has experienced a revival in recent years, with their songs being featured in film soundtracks and commercials. They continue to perform and record, keeping the spirit of 80s pop culture alive.
