Varese Saraband
Varèse Sarabande is a prominent American record label renowned for its specialization in film scores and original soundtracks. Established in 1978 through the merger of Varèse International and Sarabande Records, the label has since become a pivotal player in preserving and distributing music from both contemporary and classic films. Over the years, Varèse Sarabande has released scores from a diverse range of movies, spanning various genres and eras, often providing collectors and enthusiasts with definitive editions of their favorite soundtracks. While "The Goonies" original 1985 soundtrack predominantly featured pop and rock songs released by other labels, Varèse Sarabande later catered to fans seeking the film's instrumental score by releasing Dave Grusin's compositions, offering a more comprehensive auditory experience of the movie's adventurous spirit.
