Urge Overkill

Urge Overkill is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago in 1986. Known for their blend of grunge, hard rock, and pop sensibilities, the band gained prominence in the early 1990s. Their breakthrough came with the release of their cover of Neil Diamond’s "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon," which was famously featured in Pulp Fiction. This track introduced Urge Overkill to a broader audience and became one of their most recognizable songs.

The band’s stylish image and penchant for catchy hooks helped set them apart in the grunge-dominated era. Albums like Saturation (1993) showcased their ability to craft memorable rock anthems, earning them critical acclaim. Although Urge Overkill disbanded in the late 1990s, they reunited in the 2000s and continue to tour and record, maintaining a cult following.
