The Kingsmen

The Kingsmen are an American rock band best known for their raw and raucous version of "Louie Louie," which became one of the most iconic garage rock anthems of the 1960s. Formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1959, the band’s recording of "Louie Louie" was famously marred by its unintelligible lyrics, sparking rumors of obscenity and a subsequent FBI investigation.
