The Georgia Satellites

The Georgia Satellites are an American Southern rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1980. They are best known for their energetic blend of Southern rock and rock and roll, highlighted by their 1986 hit single "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," which became a major commercial success and a staple of rock radio. The band's music is characterized by its gritty, raw sound, featuring driving guitar riffs, straightforward lyrics, and a rootsy vibe.

Led by vocalist and guitarist Dan Baird, the original lineup also included Rick Richards on guitar, Rick Price on bass, and Mauro Magellan on drums. Despite lineup changes and periods of inactivity, the Georgia Satellites have maintained a loyal fan base and continue to perform, celebrated for their contributions to the Southern rock genre.
