The Creatures

The Creatures were a post-punk project formed by Siouxsie Sioux and Budgie of Siouxsie and the Banshees. Unlike their main band, The Creatures focused heavily on percussion and stripped-down arrangements, often eschewing guitars for a more primal sound. Their debut, Feast (1983), featured tropical rhythms and exotic instrumentation, setting them apart from the typical new wave scene of the time.

Over the years, The Creatures evolved their sound, incorporating jazz, electronic, and industrial elements into their later works. Albums like Anima Animus (1999) showed a darker, more introspective direction. Despite being a side project, The Creatures maintained a distinct identity and artistic voice, leaving a unique legacy in the alternative music landscape.
