Plot Summary

The story follows a 10-year-old girl named Chihiro Ogino, who is moving to a new neighborhood with her parents. While driving to their new home, they take a wrong turn and discover an abandoned amusement park. As they explore, Chihiro’s parents find a food stall and start eating greedily, but they are soon transformed into pigs. Terrified and alone, Chihiro encounters a mysterious boy named Haku, who tells her that she has entered a magical world ruled by the witch Yubaba.

In this world, spirits and creatures from Japanese folklore come to life. To survive and find a way to rescue her parents, Chihiro takes on the name Sen and works in Yubaba's bathhouse. Throughout her journey, she encounters various characters, including the gentle giant No-Face, the grumpy worker Kamaji, and the kind-hearted bathhouse worker Lin.

As Chihiro works in the bathhouse, she learns that Haku is also under Yubaba's control. Together, they uncover Haku’s true identity and Yubaba’s hidden secrets. Chihiro’s bravery, kindness, and determination ultimately lead to her breaking the curse on her parents and Haku, allowing her to return to the human world with her parents, who have no memory of their transformation.
