Spandau Ballet

Spandau Ballet is a British band formed in London in 1979, known for their role in the New Romantic movement of the early 1980s. The band consisted of Tony Hadley (vocals), Gary Kemp (guitar, keyboards), Martin Kemp (bass), Steve Norman (saxophone, percussion), and John Keeble (drums). They gained fame with their debut album, "Journeys to Glory," but it was their third album, "True," that brought them international success. The title track, "True," became a worldwide hit, and its smooth, soulful sound marked a departure from their earlier, more electronic-driven music.

Throughout the 1980s, Spandau Ballet continued to release successful albums, such as "Parade" and "Through the Barricades," blending pop, rock, and jazz influences. Despite internal tensions and a breakup in the early 1990s, the band reunited in 2009 and embarked on successful tours, releasing new material and celebrating their legacy as icons of the 1980s music scene. Their stylish image, coupled with their ability to evolve musically, has ensured Spandau Ballet's enduring popularity among fans of classic pop and New Romantic music.
