Simple Minds

Simple Minds is a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1977. Known for their anthemic sound and grandiose style, the band achieved worldwide fame with their 1985 hit single "Don't You (Forget About Me)," which was featured in the soundtrack of the film "The Breakfast Club." The song became a defining track of the 80s, showcasing the band's ability to craft memorable, emotionally resonant music. Simple Minds' earlier work, including albums like "New Gold Dream" and "Sparkle in the Rain," had already established them as a major force in the new wave and post-punk scenes.

Throughout their career, Simple Minds have continued to evolve their sound, incorporating elements of rock, synth-pop, and more recently, folk and acoustic influences. The band's longevity and ability to adapt to changing musical landscapes have earned them a dedicated following and critical acclaim. With a career spanning over four decades, Simple Minds remain one of the most enduring and influential bands to emerge from the 1980s, continuing to tour and release new music to this day.
