Redbone
Redbone was a Native American rock band known for their unique fusion of rock, funk, and tribal rhythms. Formed in the late 1960s by brothers Pat and Lolly Vegas, the band gained fame with their 1974 hit "Come and Get Your Love," which became a defining song of the era and saw renewed popularity in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Their music often celebrated Native American culture, with songs like "The Witch Queen of New Orleans" drawing on folklore and mysticism. Redbone’s contributions to rock and funk remain highly regarded, and their impact as one of the first successful Native American rock bands is widely recognized.
