Nick Drake
Nick Drake was an English singer-songwriter known for his melancholic, introspective folk music. Despite receiving little commercial success during his lifetime, his albums, including Five Leaves Left (1969) and Pink Moon (1972), have since gained a cult following. His delicate voice, intricate guitar playing, and poetic lyrics have influenced countless musicians, from Elliott Smith to Bon Iver.
Tragically, Drake struggled with depression and passed away at the age of 26 in 1974. However, his music has since been widely rediscovered, thanks to its haunting beauty and timeless quality. His influence continues to grow, with modern artists frequently citing him as an inspiration for their own work.
