Luxury

Luxury is an American rock band formed in the mid-1990s in Toccoa, Georgia. Known for their melodic yet edgy sound, the band combines elements of alternative rock, post-punk, and emo, drawing comparisons to acts like R.E.M. and The Smiths. Luxury's early work, particularly their debut album "Amazing and Thank You," received critical acclaim for its introspective lyrics, complex guitar work, and emotive vocals. Despite facing challenges such as a severe van accident in 1995 that affected their ability to tour, the band has continued to develop a dedicated following.

Throughout their career, Luxury has experienced several transformations, both musically and personally. The band's later work explores more mature themes and sophisticated arrangements, reflecting the members' growth as artists. Notably, three of the band members became Eastern Orthodox priests, which has influenced their music and public persona. Luxury's unique journey and resilience in the face of adversity have earned them a cult status in the indie rock scene.
