Lee Ritenour
Lee Ritenour is an American jazz guitarist and composer, known for his smooth fusion of jazz, rock, and Brazilian music. Born in Los Angeles in 1952, Ritenour began his professional career as a teenager, playing on sessions with artists like The Mamas & the Papas and Tony Bennett. His solo work, including albums like Captain Fingers (1977) and Rit (1981), established him as one of the leading figures in contemporary jazz and fusion.
Ritenour’s fluid guitar style and ability to adapt across genres have made him a sought-after collaborator, working with legends such as Herbie Hancock, George Benson, and Dave Grusin.
