Eva Trout

Eva Trout was an Australian alternative rock band active in the late 90s and early 2000s. Fronted by singer-guitarist Bek-Jean Stewart, the band created a mix of indie rock, folk, and pop influences, making them a refreshing presence in the Australian music scene. Their debut album, Along Woodland Rides, Through Tunnels to Caves (1995), showcased their dreamy yet edgy sound.

Despite positive critical reception, Eva Trout remained a relatively underground act, with a cult following among indie rock fans. Their later albums, including Oberon (2001), continued to display their textured, emotionally rich songwriting. The band eventually disbanded, but their music remains a hidden gem in alternative rock history.
