Elvin Bishop
Elvin Bishop is an American blues and rock guitarist known for his work with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and his own solo career. Gaining prominence in the 1960s Chicago blues scene, Bishop blended traditional blues with rock and country influences. His biggest hit, "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" (1976), became a soft rock classic and showcased a smooth, heartfelt vocal performance by Mickey Thomas.
Though best known for that hit, Bishop has enjoyed a long and respected career in blues music. He remains an active performer and recording artist, with multiple Blues Music Awards to his name. His work continues to bridge traditional blues with mainstream rock audiences.
