Ellen Reid
Ellen Reid is best known as the keyboardist and backing vocalist for Crash Test Dummies, contributing to the band’s signature harmonies and ethereal sound. Her presence in the band helped shape their dynamic, adding a softer, melodic contrast to Brad Roberts’ deep vocals. Reid’s contributions extended beyond just harmonies; her piano work was an integral part of the group’s arrangements, adding layers of richness to their folk-rock aesthetic.
In addition to her work with Crash Test Dummies, Reid explored solo projects, including her 2001 album Cinderellen, which showcased her individual artistry. The album leaned into a more personal, introspective style, highlighting her vocal talent and songwriting skills. Though she remains best known for her work with the Dummies, her solo material demonstrated her ability to step into the spotlight as a compelling artist in her own right.
