Channel Live

Channel Live, comprised of Hakim Green and DJ KRS-One (later replaced by Tuffy Tuff), emerged in the early 1990s as a politically conscious hip-hop duo from New Jersey. Best known for their hit single "Mad Izm," featuring KRS-One, Channel Live gained recognition for their socially aware lyrics and energetic delivery, tackling issues of racism, inequality, and empowerment. Their debut album, "Station Identification," showcased their dynamic chemistry and ability to blend thought-provoking messages with infectious beats, earning them a dedicated fanbase within the conscious rap community. While they may not have achieved mainstream commercial success, Channel Live remains respected for their contributions to socially conscious hip-hop and their unwavering commitment to using their platform to advocate for change.
