Antsy Pants

Antsy Pants was a short-lived anti-folk band best known for their song Vampire, which was featured on the Junosoundtrack. The group, led by Kimya Dawson and a rotating lineup of musicians (including young contributors), had a playful and childlike aesthetic that resonated with fans of quirky, lo-fi music.

Although they only released one album, their music embodies the DIY ethos of anti-folk. With simple instrumentation and offbeat lyrics, Antsy Pants captured a raw and unpolished charm. Their brief but memorable existence remains a testament to the whimsical spirit of the genre.
